The Yorkshire Dales. Day 2.
Tuesday 2 September.
Our family have many fond memories of The Yorkshire Dales; hiking, climbing, pot holing… I’m now laughing as maybe wading in ice cold water, up to my armpits, through caves aged only 6 might not be too fond! My dad spent years teaching rock climbing in and around the Craggs of Kirkby Lonsdale.

The route…
This is work in progress and I will continue to adjust and refine the details as things are confirmed.
I’m trying to avoid lakes and would like to incorporate Kirkby Lonsdale so I am making up my own Olympic length route from scratch... no idea where this will end up!
This will see me swim 1.5km in the open-air Ingleton Lido, then cycle 40km around the scenic Carnforth and Settle area - initial plan is on the map below. Finally a 10km run from Ingleton to finish in Kirkby Lonsdale.
