Sheffield. Day 1.
Monday 1 September.

My parents spent lots of time in Sheffield later in life. My dad played and coached hockey his entire life. At some point in his 60’s he started playing for North of England and then the England Senior Team. This saw them in Sheffield for training sessions, competitive games and socialising with wonderful people.

The route…

This is work in progress and I will continue to adjust and refine the details as things are confirmed.

I’m currently working on extending the Hathersage Hilly Sprint Triathlon to a full Olympic length route.

This will see me swim 1.5km in the open-air Hathersage Lido, then cycle 40km up and down the rolling Sheffield hills. The map shows the cycle route which has 700m of ascent and reaches a 370m elevation point around the 27km mark! Finally a 10km run through woodland and parkland. Beautiful scenery but most certainly not flat!
