Northumberland. Day 4.
Thursday 4 September.

We’ve had many family adventures on the North East coast; walking, bivouacking, camping and more. I remember a family visit to Druridge Bay before dad’s symptoms started - he was running around the beach swinging kelp for the dog. Its also where my dad did his first triathlon aged 70!

The route…

This is work in progress and I will continue to adjust and refine the details as things are confirmed.

I’m currently working on adapting the Geordieman (ironman route) to a full Olympic length route and a swim in a pool!

This includes swimming 1.5km in the pool at Ashington, cycling 40km up and down the Northumberland Coast - you can see the approx route on the map. Then finishing with a 10km run around Druridge Bay Country Park.
